The University offers engaging and interactive professional development workshops in a range of important areas, from creativity and resilience to digital literacy and entrepreneurial tools, all included under Griffith's Capability Development Framework.
Series Overview
The series consists of seven interactive workshops for up to 30 staff per workshop. Using Agile and Lean concepts and digital tools, the focus is to build your collaboration, innovation, creativity, problem-solving and presentation/pitching skills.
Enrol in individual workshops as standalone development activities or enrol in all to complete the suite and get the most out of the Series and collaborations with fellow participants.
Those who complete the Series are also eligible to claim their Creative, Innovation and Enterprising Badge which acknowledges the skills learnt across the series and the individual's commitment to their continuing professional development.

This course is suitable for staff at all levels who want to enhance their confidence, knowledge and skills in applying original thinking and creativity to problem solving.
This series builds the skills and abilities to be innovative and enterprising and develops digital capabilities.

Introduction to Agile
This interactive workshop will overview elements and approaches of Scrum, an agile project management methodology and will equip you with practical resources and tools to adopt into practice. Participants will work as agile teams and use a Kanban board to look at back logs and sprint events.
Problem Framing Canvas
A highly interactive workshop helping participants explore how to frame design challenges and opportunities, test assumptions and develop strong foundations for designing innovative responses that work using a Problem Framing Canvas.
Value Proposition Canvas
This workshop is designed to be highly interactive, helping participants build their confidence and skills to understand empathetic design through the use of a Value Proposition Canvas.
Design Thinking
In this half-day workshop, you will gain a wide-ranging understanding of the principles of design thinking, and be familiarized with tool and techniques you can apply to your own future work. In the workshop we will go through the foundations of this approach and activities are organized according to the three phases of the design thinking process: empathy, ideation, and prototyping. This workshop will provide you will tools to come up with innovative and user-cantered solutions to problems that can occur in your work.
Business Model Canvas
A highly interactive workshop helping participants explore how to frame new or existing business models to provide a guiding foundation for business ideas that are geared to succeed. Using this canvas will lead to insights about the customers your serve, what value propositions are offered through what channels, and how your business makes money. You can use this canvas to understand your own business model or that of a competitor!
How to Communicate Innovative Ideas: The Pitch
This interactive workshop is designed to help you build your skills and confidence to successfully communicate innovative ideas to different audiences.
