What you need to know
The Academic Studies Program (ASP) provides eligible academic staff with an opportunity to apply for time away from normal duties to engage in scholarly activity. You must be a continuing confirmed staff member and served at least three years of:
- continuous service since appointment; and
- continuous service since completion of a previous period of ASP .
Before applying for ASP please read through the Academic Studies Program Policy and Procedures for further information on eligibility and application requirements. Also review the Achievement Relative to Opportunity Guidelines. You may also need to review the Travel Policy if you intend to travel during your ASP .

Completion of the Academic Portfolio is no longer required as part of an ASP application. A downloaded PDF copy of the Academic Dashboard should be submitted in its place. Please see instructions on "How to Download/Update your Academic Dashboard". |
What if I need to vary my application? | Please complete and submit the following form to your Head of Element to document changes to your approved ASP application. |
| Submitting your ASP Application | Applications for ASP should be submitted no later than Monday 22 April 2024. Please submit your application including the required documentation to: hrandsafety@griffith.edu.au |
What Head of Elements need to know? | Applications will be forwarded to you after the closing date for consideration. |
