Program Overview
Aligning with Griffith's Strategy 2025 - 2030 and our commitment to “Creating a Brighter Future for All" the Future Leaders Development Program is a key pathway for aspiring Academic Leaders.
The program has been developed using adult learning principles including, synchronous and asynchronous learning modes, spaced delivery to support embedding of new knowledge and a design for the self-directed learner.
Following an initial 360-degree assessment process and debrief by accredited Capability and Development team members, the program is based around 4 month-long modules each consisting of:
- A half day face to face experiential workshop.
- A 60 - 90 minute peer learning session facilitated by our current leadership team.
- Dedicated learning resources and reflective practice activities.

Participant Feedback
The program provided dedicated time to think about my leadership in a way that provoked growth. It is an effective and lean model for leadership development - this makes it doable and valuable - thank you.
I liked the breadth and variety of topics and ways it was put across - different speakers, actual leaders from the Uni, using a combination of workshops, online formats and individual learning. I thought it was excellent and thoroughly enjoyed it.
I thought the program was extremely well organised, put together, and thought through. I enjoyed meeting with other academics outside of my discipline and hearing their perspectives. The entire experience was great. Much, much better than previous 'leadership' courses I have done. I got a LOT out of this. Thank you to all involved!
