Payroll review
The University takes pay compliance seriously and is committed to accurately compensating all staff for their valuable work.
On 28 March 2022, Vice Chancellor Professor Carolyn Evans advised staff that the University had begun a review of our payroll system and practices. Some process and procedural issues have been identified, leading to cases of both underpayment and overpayment for some staff members. Simultaneously, the University has investigated payroll system enhancements to ensure appropriate controls are in place to monitor and rectify issues.
The University apologises unreservedly to staff members who have not been paid appropriately and is working to pay affected staff what they are owed as quickly as possible.
