What equipment is available?
Available equipment varies according to the room's size and function. This may include visualisers, PC, DVD, data projectors and flat screen monitors. Select rooms may only have access to PC projection.
Official University Functions Audio Visual Support
Support (including equipment and personnel) is available for official University functions, presentations and concerts by arrangement.
Do you have a big conference call or conference coming up and would like the peace of mind of having an AV staff member onsite to help you?
Due to COVID-19 the university is not currently offering any face-to-face training.
Hybrid Teaching Spaces
Hybrid Teaching Spaces have been enabled throughout the University, these rooms include room audio and where equipped, a room camera.
These are then presented as available sources on the House PC.
Please note the instructional videos for MS Teams and BlackBoard Collaborate.
Wireless mics
Permanent chargers with two wireless microphone transmitters have been installed in lecture theatres and advanced seminar rooms across all campuses.
What this means for users
When you arrive at the theatre, all you are required to do is select a charged microphone transmitter from the charger, ensure it is switched on and then attach it to yourself ready to move freely around the room.
Please note:
The transmitters will only work in the venue in which they are installed. Please do not remove them or change any of the settings on the wireless microphone unit .

Turning Off Equipment:
If you know that there will not be a class or presenter following you in the room, please shut down the equipment using the touch-panel. This saves lamp life, equipment life and electricity. There will be a button on the main page labelled "Shut Down". Note that the projector will stay on for up to a minute after you touch this button as it will run cooling fans until it reaches its safe temperature.
Digital Signage
Digital signage screens provide a much more effective and instant way for the university to get messages across all campuses. Our digital signs can display rich digital media content, videos, live streams, TV and social media information on a range video walls, video projectors and large digital screens.
We manage our digital sign content using an application called Appspace.
