Do you need an IT account?

Find all the resources you need to establish, extend or revoke access to specialised system. For example logging into staff computers, accessing G-drive, and getting system access.

Staff access

To establish or extend existing access to these services:

  • Computing access – login to staff computers
  • File access (G: drive access or removal; H: drive quota)
  • System access (Unix and Windows accounts)

Complete the following steps:

  1. Fill out the ATEECA form (Authority to establish or extend computing access) online and select the accounts you require.
  2. Complete the Authoriser section with the approving staff member's details.
  3. Submit the form. The requestor will be contacted once an account is established. If you have not heard from anyone after three days, please contact the IT Service Centre.

Please note:

There is a three-day turnaround time for processing upon approval of an accurately completed form.

Establish or extend computing access

Visitor access

Visitor access is provided to people with a defined business relationship with the University.

A visitor details form needs to be completed by the Griffith staff member who is engaging the visitor.

After submitting the form, a Griffith ID will be allocated. Then refer to the process outlined for staff to gain access to IT Services.

Generic computing ( AD ) Accounts

To apply for a Generic (Active Directory) account, please submit a Generic computing account request.

Note that these accounts will only allow logon to the local computer. They do not include internet access. If you require internet access, please visit internet access - Other accounts for more information.
