Griffith single sign-on system

One login to the Griffith intranet will access a range of Griffith applications without having to sign in again. Applications include Learning@Griffith, staff portal, myGriffith, student email, staff email, the library system.

Tips for logging in to a Griffith page:

  • via a bookmark: make sure your bookmark is up to date. Navigate to the page you are trying to access via the Griffith homepage and re-add the bookmark.
  • via a Google search: try navigating via the Griffith homepage instead—Google searches may be providing old links
  • if you receive a blank screen or an error, try clearing your cookies and cache. Refer to our support page for guidance.

Account service timeframes

All Staff and

Your account services will be available within the timeframes specified in the table below.

Access Griffith IT services using your username—typically your S number—and your password.

When you log in to IT Services you will be accepting the University's Code of Practice. Please ensure that you have read the Information Technology Resources Code of Practice.

For staff with multiple relationships with the University—a student who is also a casual staff member, for example: should one role end, you will retain access to the IT account linked to the ongoing role.

The table below shows standard access to IT services for individual relationships:

Within 24 hours of accepting an offer to a program.

Additional access within individual systems (eg Learning@Griffith) activates at the beginning of each new semester or teaching period .

Academic

Within 24 hours of personal and job details being created in the HR system. 

With sufficient lead time, new staff receive access prior to commencing employment.

At the end of your last day of employment or end of the fixed term period.

Access will continue for fixed term staff if a new appointment immediately follows the current one.

Sessionals
As above August 31 for sessional staff employed during semester 1.

March 31 for sessional staff employed during semester 2.
Staff

General

Access will continue if fixed term staff if a new appointment immediately follows the current one.

Casual
As above Three months after submission of the most recent timesheet.
Visitor

Within 24 hours of visitor information entering the system.

Overnight at the end date of the visiting period.

Continued access to a University provided email and myGriffith.
