Shared Data
When you activate your LinkedIn Learning account through Single SignOn Griffith will pass on your email address and name. In addition to allow us to both recommend learning content and to assess how staff are using the platform we will also pass on your organisational unit name, if you are a manager or not and whether you are a professional or academic staff member.
User Agreement
LinkedIn Learning has been vetted and approved by Griffith as an optional learning platform. As it is an external platform available to you as an individual during activation you will be asked to accept the LinkedIn User Agreement through which you are agreeing to enter into a legally binding contract with LinkedIn. Your use of the service is also subject to LinkedIn's Cookie Policy and Privacy Policy which covers how they collect, use, share and store your personal information.
How Griffith uses your data
Learning and Development Staff acting as Administrators of the LinkedIn Learning system will have access to analytics and reporting information concerning how Griffith users are engaging with the platform.
While the LinkedIn Learning system stores no detailed personal information, it stores information regarding courses liked, viewed, accessed and completed.
Access and use of this data is solely to assess the engagement with the platform for purposes of calculating user interest, value of investment, maintenance and support of the platform and to make recommendations of potentially useful learning content available to either individuals or groups of staff members. All user access of the platform is both opt in and optional.
Data on an individual’s access to and engagement with LinkedIn Learning courses can only be viewed by administrators and will be used only for support and personalised recommendations where the user has requested it.
Reports created for the purposes of engagement and uptake will be aggregated at group level and won't use any identifying information.
