About our service
The Network and collaboration team aims to provide a quality network service which includes:
- High speed network via 100M or 1G wired network connections
- Network outlet installations and port activation
- Network security control (e.g. IPS , Access Control Lists, webwasher, and proxy servers, etc.)
- Incident response
Email subscription service communicating planned IT service outages, faults and restoration times.
On call network support

In order to achieve optimal support for the University network, our technical staff can be contacted outside normal working hours in the event of a major outage or critical network issue.
If the event of an major outage or critical job, please contact IT Service Centre who can assist or log a critical request on your behalf.
