About the Student Representative Council Campus Committees
There is an SRC Campus Committee for each SRC campus (Logan, Mt Gravatt, Nathan, Queensland College of Art, Queensland Conservatorium, and the Digital campus).
Each SRC Campus Committee will comprise the following elected members:
President:
Duties: In addition to any other duties determined by the Committee, the President is responsible for being the official spokesperson of the Committee and liaising with the authorities of the University located at the Home Campus of the Committee.
Committee members x 2 positions
Duties: In addition to any other duties determined by the Committee, the Committee members fulfil all of the obligations, in so far as they are applicable, in relation to the Committee and the SRC Board.
All elected SRC representatives are required to commit a considerable amount of time to their positions. If you are elected, you are required to be the face of the SRC and attend events, seminars and other activities organized by the SRC.
About the Student Representative Council Board
The SRC Board is responsible for the management and conduct of the affairs of the SRC and the management and control of its income, assets and other property. Subject to the SRC Constitution, the Board may exercise all the powers of the SRC on its behalf.
Membership of the SRC board is comprised of:
- The President of each SRC Campus Committee for each SRC campus
- One other member of each SRC Campus Committee for each SRC campus
- A person, not otherwise being a member of the SRC Board, nominated by the SRC Board to serve as SRC Treasurer; and
- One Indigenous Officer shall be elected across all Campuses by students who identify as being Indigenous as per their enrolment at the University.
The Student Associations Manager of the University, or equivalent, shall be the secretary of the SRC. The secretary shall have the right to attend all Board meetings and shall have rights of audience and debate but has no voting rights.
