The current examinations system used within Griffith University is very inefficient and relies on outdated technology. Currently only one staff member is able to work in the exam module at one time.
With the introduction of the Trimester model in 2017, the teaching periods and gaps between teaching periods will be reduced. This will put additional load on all staff involved in the examination process.
The proposed solution will streamline and automate the processes of data collection, managing and scheduling examinations and therefore will help to alleviate the impacts related to the compressed timelines.
