Two members of the academic staff of the University, elected by the academic staff of the University.*
- Term of office: 28/10/2025 to 27/10/2029

*The two elected academic staff must represent a diversity of genders (female/woman; male/man; person who is gender diverse) with a maximum of one from each of these groups elected and the two with the most votes across more than one group elected.
One member of the professional and support staff of the University, elected by the professional and support staff of the University.

Please note: University Council members, including elected student members, have a fiduciary duty to act in the interests of the University as a whole rather than simply as a delegate or representative of a particular constituency. This obligation must be observed in priority to any duty a member may owe to those electing or appointing him or her. Full details on the duties of a Council member are outlined in Section 8.0 of the Council Handbook.
University Council elected positions are remunerated in accordance with the Council and Committees Remuneration Policy and Procedure
Six members of the academic staff of the University to be elected by members of the academic staff of the University at least two of whom shall be from each of the Arts, Education and Law Group; Griffith Business School; Griffith Health; and Griffith Sciences.

NOTE: The split of Group members is across the total twelve elected academic staff on Academic Committee, six of whom were elected in the September 2024 Election Round. To maintain the balance of membership in accordance with the constitution, at least one elected member shall be from the Griffith Sciences and at least one elected member shall be from Griffith Health.
