Board of Graduate Research

The Board of Graduate Research is the senior body within the University which makes recommendations to Academic Committee and advises the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Research), through the Dean, Griffith Graduate Research School, on strategic planning, policy, and quality assurance matters concerning higher degree by research (HDR) programs and candidature, research training and higher doctorate arrangements. The Board contributes significantly to the development and review of Griffith University policies, systems and procedures, on matters relating to HDR management, including: quality of supervision, admissions, scholarships, credit, candidature and examination. The Board also provides recommendations to Programs Committee and the Program Strategy Board relating to the structure and requirements of the University’s HDR programs and HDR program pathways.

Internationalisation Advisory Committee

Internationalisation Advisory Committee provides advice to:

  • Executive Group, Academic Committee and its sub-committees on matters concerning the policy and strategy relating to international and transnational matters;
  • Griffith International on plans to achieve the aims and objectives for international activities set out by the University in policy and strategy;
  • the academic elements on international issues relevant to their teaching, learning and research activities.

Learning & Teaching Committee

​Learning and Teaching Committee shall make recommendations to the Academic Committee on strategic planning, policy, and quality assurance issues in relation to learning, teaching, the student learning experience, and delivery of curricula.

Group Boards

Academic Committee has established the Group Boards to fulfill the role as the academic governance body of each academic Group with general responsibility for any academic matter related to the functioning of the Group.  Each Board will monitor the impact, engagement, and other aspects of teaching, learning and research activities to support continuous improvement.
