The Surveys and Engagement team forms part of the Office of Planning Services, which plays an important role in supporting the University’s strategic and operational planning work.
The Team was established to ensure survey activities are consistently of a high standard, adhere to policies and procedures, and effectively engage students, staff and alumni.University surveys constitute a primary mechanism for gathering feedback. This in turn, informs Griffith's strategic direction in terms of planning, funding and recruitment activities. Griffith participates in both national surveys at the request of the Federal Government, and internal surveys as part of quality enhancement initiatives. Click here to view the 2018 surveys schedule.
Considerable opportunities exist for expanded and enhanced engagement, not only with Academic Groups but also with colleagues in Administration Divisions. The Team's engagement goals are to inform, collaborate with, and empower the wider Griffith community by developing remarkable resources, events and support dedicated to information sharing.The Engagement Plan is linked to Key Priorities in the OPS 2016–2018 Operational Plan, including Partnership Engagement and Internal Excellence.
Quality Indicators for Learning & Teaching
QILT is a coherent suite of national Higher Education surveys endorsed by the Federal Government covering the student lifecycle from commencement through to employment. The QILT surveys consist of the Student Experience Survey, the Graduate Outcomes Surveyand the Employer Satisfaction Survey.The Surveys and Engagement team work with the government appointed contractor and the Social Research Centre, to ensure systematic, timely, and accurate data collection.
