However, there are are other collaborative tools available such as Skype. Although these tools are currently not Griffith supported applications, IT Service Centre will assist clients with questions as much as possible.
Skype disruptions on the Griffith network
As at February 2017, there have been reports of disruptions to Skype (consumer version) including issues connecting and continual drop outs.
These issues have resulted from a Skype update that was released in December and affects all staff and students using Skype on the Griffith University network.
It will also affect other businesses that utilise a similar network security profile.
April 2017: Currently there is no secure workaround to configure the Skype consumer version on an Enterprise network that utilises a network security profile.
Griffith will provide further updates within the next few months.
