The University provides support for both the online version of Office 365 and its associated desktop applications. Visit self-help resources in the Productivity Hub or Microsoft support.

Prior to 2018, Griffith had an agreement with Google to provide Google Apps for Education. Access to Drive ( Docs, Sheets, Slides, Forms and Drawings), Sites and Groups will continue until further notice.

Privacy and Security

The agreement with Google meets Griffith's expectations for privacy and
security, and complies with relevant state and federal laws.

  • The University owns data stored with Google; the vendor is simply a service provider
  • The contract with the vendor meets Griffith's expectations for privacy and security, and complies with relevant state and federal laws
  • All communications take place over secure/encrypted HTTPS connections which keeps protects information transmitted across the internet
  • All data is stored on encrypted disks and distributed over multiple data centres so that it cannot be easily breached
