The Student Transition and Leadership Team contribute toward the provision of an engaging and supportive environment through various student leadership and unique enrichment initiatives such as the Leadership, Enrichment and Development program, Professional Development and Community Enrichment Sponsorship Fund and management of The Learning Space at Westfield, Garden City.
Through its various activities Mentoring@Griffith supports attainment of the goal to offer all Griffith students with a peer mentor with a view to improving retention through peer support. Student mentoring plays a significant role in the University’s retention and engagement strategy and continues to be a strong focus for the STL team.
STL staff also work with staff from a variety of areas of the University to assist with coordination and implementation of retention and engagement strategies.
Multiple websites and social media sites have been developed and redesigned with a view to providing students with information required at various points throughout their student life. Information on these is provided at the resources tab of this site.
The STL team are committed to engaging students in paid work as a meaningful retention strategy whilst also providing students with valuable workplace skills.
