Notifiable date

Currently not applicable.

Due date

The  due date for a profile is frequently perceived by users to be the profile’s critical lockdown date; however this is almost never the case. So when are profiles are actually due?

In accordance with University policy course profiles are to be published by the following dates:

  • First week of February for Trimester 1 profiles published
  • Week 12 of Trimester 1 for Trimester 2 profiles published
  • Week 12 of Trimester 2 for Trimester 3 profiles published
  • Week 12 of Trimester 3 for Trimester 1 profiles published for the following year

Critical lockdown date

This date denotes when certain critical fields in a profile are locked down, preventing them being edited by a designer.  Critical lockdown date is set by default to publication date.  System Administrators are not affected by critical lockdown.

When a profile is published, the critical lockdown date is automatically populated for that profile.

Total lockdown date

The entire profile becomes non-editable on and after this date.  By default this date is set to the Monday of week 5 for the current semester.

Archive Date

Course profiles will be archived on this date and will not be editable at all. However they will still be accessible to public view for historical records.  This date is set as the last day of teaching in the subsequent semester.

Retirement Date

A course profile is automatically retired when it reaches its retirement date, which by default is set to five years after the archive date.  A profile in the retired state cannot be publicly viewed but remains in the course profiles database.  In this state the profile can be viewed by authenticated staff users and be accessed for cloning purposes.

Removal Date

A course profile is automatically deleted from the course profile database when it reaches its removal date, which by default is set to ten years after the archive date.
