Keeping in touch
All staff are encouraged to keep in touch with the University during long term leave. It is important to have clear expectations between the staff members, colleagues and manager prior to commencement of leave regarding the type and frequency of contact.

The following parental leave entitlements are available to Griffith University staff:
|Prior continuous service with the University
||Paid parental leave entitlement
||Unpaid parental leave entitlement
|12 months or more
||26 weeks (total parental leave and primary carers leave)
|9 - 12 months
||6 weeks paid parental leave
|Less than 9 months

Funding of up to $25,000 is available through the Advance Queensland Women's Academic Fund to support the work of female researchers within Queensland based universities and Queensland's publicly funded research institutes/organisations.
