Pride in Diversity

PiD is a non-profit organisation which works closely with HR, diversity professionals and LGBTQIA+ Network Leaders to assist Australian employers with the inclusion of LGBTQA+ employees.

The University's membership enables access to a range of networks and resources for our staff and students, including:

SBS Inclusion Program

The SBS Inclusion Program has a range of online modules and resources designed to train people in the areas of diversity and inclusion, including a module specific to LGBTIQ+ inclusion.

The program was developed by SBS, Multicultural NSW and International Education Services who are market leaders in the areas of multiculturalism, cultural awareness, and education.

Family and Domestic Violence in LGBTQIA+ communities

We recognise the unique challenges experienced by LGBTQIA+ people in Family and Domestic Violence situations. Comprehensive coverage of these challenges can be found in the resources below.

Griffith LGBTQIA+ inclusion workshops

We regularly host online LGBTQIA+ inclusion workshops co-delivered by the University's Pride Committee and a Pride in Diversity facilitator.

The workshops cover why LGBTQIA+ inclusion is important, the differences between gender and sexuality, the experiences of LGBTQIA+ people, supporting LGBTQIA+ people in the workplace and LGBTQIA+ inclusion at Griffith.

Pride in Diversity - LGBTQ+ Awareness workshops

Pride in Diversity also provide open LGBTQ+ Awareness workshops available to Griffith staff. Please contact ally@griffith.edu.au for information on how to register and once you have completed this training please contact the same email to be added to the network list.

Intersex Inclusion Workshops

Intersex inclusion workshops are hosted regularly online, facilitated by Intersex Human Rights Australia.

The workshops cover an introduction to Intersex people, the Intersex community and allyship, and discussion on Intersex health and human rights.
