The Academic Equity Development Program (AEDP) provides eligible academic and research staff with support to conduct sustained activities to further their development as scholars, researchers, teachers and/or practitioners.
It is awarded in recognition of the achievements and potential achievements of individual staff, despite previous career disadvantage that has been experienced and related to certain attributes or circumstances.

Nominations are open to level A and B academic staff (including research only staff) who meet the following criteria:

Each year, central funding will be provided for up to four academic or research staff members to undertake an appropriate six month program (semester one or semester two). The amount provided for each supported program will be approximately $20,000.
Academic Groups may wish to fund additional programs as appropriate.
Central funding may be provided to the School/Department to cover teaching release or may be allocated directly to the staff member to support research or related activities, or a combination of both.

Applications can be submitted through your Head of Element to the Dean (Academic) at any stage during the year.
