The following roles are required to administer and publish websites through the Web Site and Content Lifecycle. University elements can assign or nominate web content management roles to one or more staff positions in an element according to the specific staffing resources, skill sets, and duties within the element.
- Site Owner
- Ultimately responsible for the content on the website. Site Owners must ensure that the Content Coordinator and Content Publisher roles are assigned to maintain the site. The Site Owner is normally a senior staff member
- Content (or Web) Coordinator
- Responsible for collecting and maintaining the website content and ensuring it is readable and appropriate
- Content Publisher
- Performs web development and technical maintenance activities for the site. The role requires technical skills but will benefit from a working knowledge of the structure and nature of the content in the site
