How to connect to Griffith G Drive with Android mobile devices.
These instructions have been provided as a guide to help you configure your Android mobile devices to connect to the Griffith University G drive storage. While storage access has been designed to provide support for as many platforms and devices as possible, the University does not provide technical support for any Android device beyond this self-help guide.
The following instruction outlines the setup process to access Group drive (G drive) for staff in Griffith University.
The connecting software chosen in this example is ES File Explorer File Manager by ES APP Group.

This app is compatible with Android 2.1, 2.2, 2.3, 3.1, 3.2, 4.0,4.1 and 4.2.
Staff G drive can be natively connected while the device is on-campus and connected to ‘Griffith University’ wireless. If you are on cellular data or connected off-site, please use the instruction in the following link to set up:

1. Select the top left icon to access menu
2. Select "LAN" to access the option page
3. Select the "New" to add new server
4. Enter the following details:
Gold Coast: gc-staff-groups.staff.ad.griffith.edu.au/groups
Username: your staff number (e.g. s1234567)
Password: your Griffith portal password
Display as: Griffith G Drive
Select "OK" when completed
5. Select 'Griffith G Drive'
6. You'll be presented with a list of G drive locations you have access to.
