The University has a tiered structure for managing equity. At the peak level the University's Equity Committee, chaired by the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Engagement), provides advice and recommendations to the University Executive. Its major role is to enhance the coordination and accountability of equity provision across the University. The Committee provides advice and recommendations about policy matters, and advice and assistance with the development, implementation monitoring and evaluation of these policies.
The Committee meets bi-monthly and its membership is representative of all sectors of the University's community. .
Staff and students may have issues considered by the Committee by contacting the secretary.
Issues may be raised through Deans and other senior managers with responsibility for equity planning and reporting by contacting the secretary or chair of the committee.
